World-renowned Australia Zoo a revolutionary home for career course
In a national first, job hunters, students and school-leavers across QLD will be able to qualify themselves for a career in Tourism while working at one of the world’s greatest tourist attractions.
Australia Zoo, on Steve Irwin Way at Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast and the spiritual home of the late legendary crocodile hunter, will welcome course participants to learn on the job while they complete a Certificate III qualification in Tourism in just two weeks.
The popular course, including a full day private tour of the zoo which counts as a practical session in training, is part of a joint push for greater educational opportunities across QLD from Australia’s top career trainer — Wise Education Group — and the QLD Government.
“This is one of the most spectacular learning opportunities to come to QLD,” Wise Chief Executive Kelly North said.
“To think you can kick-start a career in Tourism while enjoying the professional and beautiful surrounds of the country’s top tourism park is something quite inspiring.”
Australia Zoo — the iconic passion of the Irwins — is considered one of the finest wildlife conservation facilities in the world & its partnership with Wise is thought to be the first of its kind in Australia and a revolutionary educational move from the Sunshine State.
Course runs from 9am to 4pm daily for 10 days at the Australia Zoo.
