Disability Services involve providing care and support for people with a disability. You will learn how to help disabled people maintain their personal care and daily activities. You may work with people in their own homes, in a group home or in a residential facility. Disability courses give you the skills and knowledge required to assist in behaviour support, individual health, emotional well-being, and community participation.
You will learn how to support the independence and wellbeing of clients, provide individual support as well as facilitate the interests and rights of clients. The delivery and assessment of this program is a blended approach comprising of distance based workbooks and assessments, training sessions conducted through scheduled webinar and online clinical modules supporting the aged care industry.
